Serving Suggestions
Serve this creamy soup with warm crusty bread, homemade biscuits, crackers, or a fresh green salad. It makes a wonderfully satisfying lunch or dinner.
Tips for the Best Soup
Use leftover roasted chicken or rotisserie chicken for convenience.
Cut the vegetables into similar-sized pieces so they cook evenly.
Use low-sodium broth so you can control the salt.
For a lighter soup, replace the heavy cream with half-and-half or evaporated milk.
For a thicker consistency, add a little more flour slurry.
For extra flavor, sautéing the vegetables before adding the broth is highly recommended.
