Irresistible German Chocolate Cake
Ingredients:
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 cups sugar
3/4 cup cocoa powder
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup buttermilk
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 cup boiling water
For the Frosting
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter
1 cup evaporated milk
1 1/2 cups shredded coconut
1 cup chopped pecans

Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease and flour two 9-inch pans.
In a large bowl mix flour sugar cocoa powder baking powder baking soda and salt. Add buttermilk oil eggs and vanilla. Blend until smooth. Stir in boiling water.
Pour batter evenly into prepared pans. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes. Let cakes cool completely.
For the frosting cook sugar butter and evaporated milk over medium heat until thickened. Remove from heat and stir in coconut and pecans.
Frost the cooled cakes and serve.
