Cheesy Beef and Shells Pasta

INGREDIENTS:

 

1 lb (450g) ground beef

1 onion, diced

1 green bell pepper, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes

1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce

2 cups (470ml) beef broth

2 cups (200g) pasta shells

1 cup (100g) shredded cheddar cheese

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

 

INSTRUCTIONS:

 

Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta shells and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Brown the Beef: In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Break it apart with a spoon as it cooks. Once browned, remove any excess grease.

Sauté the Vegetables: Add the diced onion and green bell pepper to the skillet with the beef. Sauté until the vegetables are softened, about 5 minutes. Add the minced garlic and cook for another 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

Combine Pasta and Sauce: Add the cooked pasta shells to the skillet and stir to combine. Reduce the heat to low, then sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the pasta mixture. Stir until the cheese is melted and evenly distributed.
