Spicy Honey Garlic Chicken Wings Recipe

 

INGREDIENTS:

– 1 kg chicken wings

– 1 cup all-purpose flour

– 1 teaspoon salt

– 1 teaspoon black pepper

– 1 teaspoon paprika

– 1 teaspoon garlic powder

– 1 teaspoon onion powder

– Vegetable oil (for frying)

– 2 tablespoons butter

– 1/4 cup soy sauce

– 1/4 cup honey

– 1/4 cup brown sugar

– 5 cloves garlic, minced

– 1 tablespoon ginger, grated

– 2 tablespoons sriracha sauce (adjust to taste)

– 1 tablespoon sesame seeds

– 2 green onions, chopped

– 2 red chilies, sliced

– 2 green chilies, sliced

 

 

INSTRUCTIONS:

 

1. Prepare the Chicken:

– Rinse the chicken wings and pat them dry with paper towels.

 

2. Coat the Chicken:

– In a large bowl, mix the flour, salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.

– Dredge the chicken wings in the flour mixture, making sure they are evenly coated. Shake off any excess flour.

 

3. Fry the Chicken:

– Heat the vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 180°C (350°F).

– Fry the chicken wings in batches until they are golden brown and crispy, about 8-10 minutes per batch.

– Remove the wings from the oil and drain on paper towels.

 

4. Prepare the Sauce:

– In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.

– Add the minced garlic and grated ginger, and sauté until fragrant, about 2 minutes.

– Add the soy sauce, honey, brown sugar, and sriracha sauce. Stir well and bring the mixture to a simmer.

– Let the sauce simmer for about 5 minutes until it thickens slightly.

 

5. Coat the Wings:

– Add the fried chicken wings to the skillet with the sauce. Toss to coat the wings evenly with the sauce.

– Continue to cook for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to caramelize and stick to the wings.

 

6. Garnish and Serve:

– Sprinkle the sesame seeds over the wings.

– Add the chopped green onions and sliced red and green chilies.

– Toss everything together one last time.

 

7. Serve:

– Transfer the spicy honey garlic chicken wings to a serving platter.

– Serve hot and enjoy!

 

### Notes:

– Adjust the amount of sriracha sauce to control the spiciness level.

– You can also bake the wings instead of frying them for a healthier option. Bake at 200°C (400°F) for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through.
