Loaded Macaroni and Cheese Burger

 

 

INGREDIENTS:

 

1 lb ground beef

Salt and pepper to taste

4 hamburger buns

1 box macaroni and cheese (prepared according to package instructions)

4 slices of cheddar cheese

4 slices of cooked bacon

Lettuce and tomato slices (optional)

Pickles (optional)

BBQ sauce (optional)

 

INSTRUCTIONS:

 

Preheat your grill or stovetop grill pan.

Season the ground beef with salt and pepper, then shape into 4 patties.

Grill the patties to your desired doneness, typically 4-5 minutes per side for medium.

While the burgers are cooking, prepare the macaroni and cheese according to the package instructions.

When the burgers are almost done, top each with a slice of cheddar cheese and allow it to melt.

Toast the hamburger buns lightly on the grill.

To assemble the burgers, place a spoonful of macaroni and cheese on the bottom half of each bun.

Add a burger patty on top of the macaroni and cheese.

Place a slice of cooked bacon on each patty.

Optionally, add lettuce, tomato slices, pickles, and a drizzle of BBQ sauce.

Top with the other half of the bun and serve immediately.
